18-year-old Missing Girl from Brahmavar found in Hassan

Udupi: A 18-year-old girl from Udupi taluk who went missing was found a day later on June 13 with her boyfriend in Hassan.

According to the sources, the girl and boy belonging to two different faith were in love for many years. The girl was residing in Brahmavar and recently had completed her education. The boy is from Nejar under the Malpe police station limits and is working in a Bus. Both decided to get married and applied in the Udupi marriage registration office recently. The right-wing outfits who noticed the photos that had appeared on the notice board of the marriage register office tried to convince the family members of the girl.

On June 10 the girl had gone missing from her home. The girl’s mother filed a missing person’s complaint at the Malpe Police station. As per the complaint, the Malpe Police started a search operation and traced the girl in Hassan. It is learnt that the girl had eloped with her boyfriend to Hassan.

Sources said that both will be brought to Malpe to record their statements and later handed over to their families.

The right-wing associations have demanded action against the boy for abducting the girl.
