18-year-old Student Commits Suicide at Hostel Room in Moodbidri
Moodbidri: A 18-year old student from a reputed college in Moodbidri committed suicide by hanging to the cieling at the Hostel room here on September 12.
The deceased has been identified as Vinutha (18) from Anekal, Bengaluru.
According to college sources, on September 12, at around 7:00 am, Vinutha hanged herself to the ceiling in the hostel room in Moodbidri.
Vinutha had joined the college under the adoption scheme and had scored 96% in 1st year PUC.
The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
Vinutha’s parents have been informed about the incident and they are on their way to Moodbidri.
Moodbidri police have also visited the spot and are investigating. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
