18-year-old Student Dies in Road Mishap at Nanthur
Mangaluru: An 18-year-old student died after a container Truck hit the two-wheeler she was travelling in, at Nanthur here on July 27.
The deceased has been identified as Bindu (18), a resident of Konchadi.
According to sources, On July 27, at 5:00 pm, Maheshwarappa was taking his daughter Bindu to Fr Muller Hospital as she was feeling sick. When they reached near Nanthur a Container Truck hit the two-wheeler throwing both Maheshwarappa and Bindu to the ground. The Lorry then ran over Bindu.
Bindu was rushed to the hospital but at around 7:00 pm, she breathed her last. Bindu was a second year PUC student.
Maheshwarappa hailing from Chitradurga is working in the audit department of the Co-operative society. Bindu was the only daughter of Maheshwarappa couple.
A case has been registered in the Kadri traffic police station.
