182 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on August 2
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 182 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 2 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 4674.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1943. So far, 2696 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 35 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
29 persons with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), Influenza-Like Illness (ILI), and COVID suspects have been admitted to the isolation wards in the district.
As of now, 616 throat swab samples are pending for results, 977 samples were sent for testing on August 2 and 625 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 28088 swab samples out of the 33378 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
