19-year-old Youth Commits Suicide by Jumping into Netravati River
Mangaluru: A 19-year-old youth committed suicide by jumping into the Netravati River at Panemangaluru here on May 24.
The deceased has been identified as Nishanth (19) from Kalladka.
According to the initial reports, on May 24, Nishanth jumped into the Netravati river. While he jumped into the river, Muslim youth from Gudinabali Mohammed, Tousif, Zameer, Zahid and Arif P J who were nearby jumped into the river to save Nishanth and succeeded in bringing him to the river bank.
Nishanth without responding to treatment breathed his last. Bantwal Town Police are investigating.
