196 Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus in DK on July 12
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 196 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus, and five persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 12.
Out of the 196 positive cases, 20 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Ninety-one persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and sixteen persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) while ten had returned from the Gulf.
Two persons tested positive during the pre-surgery test. The health officials are tracing the contacts of Fifty-seven others.
All the 196 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
On July 12, ninety-four persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
