198 Persons Test Positive and 8 Die Of COVID-19 in DK on July 30
Mangaluru: According to the state health bulletin, 198 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and eight persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 30.
Out of the 198 positive cases, four persons had returned from the Gulf. twenty-seven persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Eighty persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and fourteen persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of seventy-three others. So far 5504 positive cases have been reported in the district, and 131 of them have died of the disease.
All the 198 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, 105 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
Too many causality. Looks like not proper treatment is given to patients. Even gulf countries like Kuwait every day cases are more than 700. But death rate is 3 or 4 per day. Most of the Comorbid patients get cured and go back home. Mangalore is no. 1 in medical facilities. But death rate is too high.
