Mangaluru: Yet another youth’s life is lost due to a two-wheeler accident. The accident happened during the wee hours of 3 a.m. when this youth was riding his sports motorcycle on the Bikarnakatte-Maroli- Padil road. As per police reports around 3 am on Friday 21 October a bike rider travelling on his Suzuki Xpulse motorbike after his extra duty hours at his workplace in Jeppu, Mangaluru was heading home on his bike towards his residence in Kodman Village, Bantwal aced a tragic death due to a bike accident.

Sources reveal that around the wee hours of 3 am 0n Friday, 21 October the 23-year-old youth on his motorbike Suzuki XPulse bearing Reg No Ka 19 H F 2907 after his late night work at ATELIER – a home design studio dealing with Home requirements located in Jeppu, Managaluru was heading home located in Kabela House in Pudu Village, Kodman in Bantwal taluk, while on his route via Bikarnakatte-Maroli- Padil NH Highway was involved in this tragic accident.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Keerthik Kotian, residing in Kodman village in Bantwal taluk, and was a site supervisor at ATELIER 0 a home design studio located in Jeppu, Mangaluru. It is learnt that while Keerthik was on his way home, travelling on Maroli-Padil road, while approaching the side road leading to White Doves, an NGO, not realising of an open roadside drainage, crashed into it and was thrown from his bike onto to the road where he breathed his last. An LPG truck driver passing that way noticed this tragic accident and arranged to call for an ambulance, however, Keerthik due to severe injuries had already died on the spot.

Keerthik’s body was taken to district Wenlock hospital for post-mortem, and police of Kadri East and Mangaluru South police stations are investigating the tragic incident. In conclusion, your’s truly who were at the spot where the accident took place in losing a precious life, the spot where this young man died has been neglected by the concerned authorities of NHAI and MCC, by letting allow an open drainage by side of a busy NH where in the past many vehicles while making a left turn from the main NH road into the side road going towards White Doves and other places have landed into that drainage, and however, everyone escaped with minor injuries, but today’s incident resulted in a fatality.
