2 Women Attempting to Smuggle Ganja into Jail Held
Mangaluru: The handing over of security at the district jail to the Karnataka Industrial Security Force (KSIF) appears to be a wise decision.
Unpleasant incidents, which used to take place frequently, have come to the barest minimum.
In the second incident of its kind in a month, the security staff intercepted two women, Shahanaz and her mother Fatima who had coming to visit an inmate, Muneer. Shahanaz carried a polyethene bag.
When inspected, the staff found 17 gms of ganja in the bag. Sub-inspector Sharat arrested them and seized the contraband.
The case has been handed over to the Barke police station for further action.
