20-year Karkala College Student Harish Commits Suicide Consuming Poison
Karkala: A 20-year-old college student allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison on Friday, October 11.
The deceased has been identified as Harish (20) a resident of Nalluru Karkala. Harish was studying in the final year BA in a reputed College in Karkala.
According to sources Harish had not attended the classes on October 11. On Friday afternoon Harish had gone out with a friend on a bike. When they reached near Attur Harish asked his friend to stop the bike. Harish got down and again asked his friend to go. Being suspicious about Harish’s behaviour, Harish’s friend returned after some time and saw Harish fallen down on the road. Harish was rushed to the hospital but he breathed his last on the way.
Before committing suicide, Harish had changed his WhatsApp status as “Time is over, I am Coming God. I have learned what life is”
Harish is survived by his father Jagannath, mother Champa and two brothers.
The exact reason for taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained but the police suspect that depression might have been the main reason.
A case has been registered in Karkala Rural Police Station.
