20-year-old Engineering Student Dies in Road Mishap at Kuntikan
Mangaluru: In a tragic road accident a 20-year-old Engineering student died after a 407 pick-up fell on him at Kuntikan here on June 23.
The deceased has been identified as Vishak Aithal (20) from Hosabettu.
According to the police, on June 23, Vishak had visited A J Hospital for Ultra Sound Scan for kidney stone. After receiving the report, he was on his way home on his motorbike. When he reached near Daddalkadu, a 407 pick-up moving at high speed lost control and hit an Activa, jumped the road divider to the other side of the road, and rolled over on Vishak who was on his two-wheeler. The rider of the Activa was also injured.
Vishak was rushed to A J Hospital, but he breathed his last without responding to the treatment. Vishak was a third-year Engineering student at the Nitte Engineering College.
A case has been registered in the Traffic West Police station.
