20-year-old Housemaid Admitted to Hospital after Assault by Employer
Udupi: A 20-year-old house maid was admitted to the hospital after being assaulted by her employer at Udyavar on Monday, November 4.
The injured girl has been identified as Saraswati (20), a native of Sirsi, Uttar Kannada District.
According to the police, Saraswathi had joined as an house maid in the house of Sowmya three months ago. The house owner was regularly abusing and physically torturing her for the last three months. On Monday , Sowamya assaulted Saraswati with a huge wooden log. Locals who noticed it informed the police and admitted Saraswati to the Government Hospital, Ajjarkad
According to Saraswati, her owner Sowmya was assaulting her with wooden a log and also not giving her food whenever she made small mistakes. Sowmya did not even pay Saraswati’s salary for 3 months.
