20-year-old Christon Jonathan killed in Bike-tractor collision in Manipal
Udupi: A 20-year-old student from Manipal was killed when his bike collided with a tractor in front of the college campus at Manipal on January 20.
The deceased has been identified as Christon Jonathan (20), a resident of Shirva.
According to the Manipal police, on January 20, fogging in front of the college campus was in progress. Christon without noticing the tractor on the way rammed into it. Both Christon and the pillion rider Ashwin were thrown to the ground. Christon died on the spot and Ashwin was injured. Ashwin was rushed to the hospital and is now recovering.
Christon Jonathan studied in Dubai up to Pre-university and had recently moved to Shirva to continue his education at Manipal.
A case has been registered in Manipal police station under IPC section 279 and 304 (A).
