204 Persons Test Positive and 5 Die Of COVID-19 in DK
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 204 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and five persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 31.
Out of the 204 positive cases, seventy-five persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Sixty-three are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and fourteen persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of fifty-two others.
So far 5708 positive cases have been reported in the district, and 142 of them have died of the disease.
All the 204 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, seventy persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
