208 Persons Test Positive and 7 Die Of COVID-19 in DK on July 29

Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 208 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and seven persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 29.

Out of the 208 positive cases, sixty-five persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Seventy-three persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and twelve persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of fifty-eight others.

All the 208 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, 118 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
