Udupi: A 21-year-old college student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house on Sunday, May 29 here at Kavadi near Brahmavar.
The deceased has been identified as Chethan Kanchan (21), a resident of Kavadi.
According to sources, Chethan went to his room on Saturday night and locked the room from the inside. In the morning, when his parents knocked on the door there was no response. Later, the family members broke open the door and found Chethan hanging from the ceiling. Chethan, was a degree student of Crossland College Brahmavar, He was irregular to his classes. The exact reason for the suicide is not known.
A case has been registered in the Brahmavar Police Station.
