21-year-old Santhosh Shetty drowns in Seetha River in Hebri
Karkala: A 21-year-old youth drowned in the Seetha River in Chara under the Hebri Police station limits on Tuesday, October 29.
The deceased has been identified as Santhosh Shetty (21) Son of Krishna Shetty resident of Chara near Gandhi Nagara, Hebri.
Santhosh had gone for swimming with his brother-in-law in the Seetha river. Santhosh was swimming in the river while his brother-in-law sat on the river bank. While swimming, Santhosh suddenly drowned in the deep part of the river. Noticing Santhosh struggling to stay afloat in the water, his brother-in-law alerted the locals who tried their best to rescue him, but in vain.
A case has been registered in the Hebri Police Station.
