21-year-old Youth Dies after being Hit by Car at Brahmavar
Brahmavar: A 21-year-old youth was killed after a car lost control, jumped the divider and hit him before landing into a field at Kumbragodu, Dharmavaram here on August 3.
The deceased has been identified as Aakash Poojary (21) from Kumbragodu. Aakash was working in Mangaluru and staying with his colleague Sharath Poojary in a room in Mangaluru.
According to the sources, on August 3, Sharath had gone on his motorbike from Mangaluru to Kumbragodu to get the room key from Aakash. When Sharath reached Kumbragodu, Aakash brought the room key from his house. Later, both stood by the side of the road in front of Aakash’s house and were talking.
While they were talking, a speeding Swift Dzire car from Udupi moving towards Kundapur lost control, jumped the divider and hit Aakash. In the incident, both Aakash and Sharath were injured and rushed to the hospital, but the doctors pronounced Aakash brought dead.
The Brahmavar police have registered a case, and the investigation is on.
