218 Persons Test Positive And 7 Die Of COVID-19 In DK On July 23

Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 218 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and seven persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 23.

Out of the 218 positive cases, thirty-six persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. 110 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and sixteen persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of fifty-seven others.

All the 218 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, 118 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
