22-year-old College Girl Killed as Temple compound wall collapses in Byndoor
Byndoor: A 22-year-old college girl was killed in Byndoor when the Temple compound wall collapsed on her due to the continuous rains on Friday, June 28.
The deceased has been identified as Dhanya(22) daughter of Chandrashekar Shetty of Ulloru under the Byndoor Station limits.
According to the to the police, Dhanya was walking to the Jattigeshwara temple to offer prayers when the Temple compound wall suddenly collapsed on her due to the heavy rains. Dhanya who was trapped under the debris died on the spot.
She had written the first year MSC examination at the Manasagangotri, University in Mangaluru and had returned home on leave. Chandrashekar Shetty has three daughters and Dhanya was the third daughter. The eldest daughter is married and the second daughter’s marriage has been fixed.
The Byndoor Thasildar and other officials visited the spot.
A case has been registered in Byndoor Police Station.
