22-year-old Youth Dies as Huli Vesha Team Tempo Overturns
Udupi: A 22-year-old Huli Vesha artiste was killed and other five were injured when the tempo in which they were travelling overturned at Santhekatte, Nejar on Wednesday, September 4.
The deceased has been identified as Sumanth (22) a resident of Padubidri. The other 5 injured Huli Vesha artistes were admitted to the KMC Hospital Manipal.
According to the Manipal Police, the Huli Vesha team was on its way to Santhekatte to participate in the Ganesha Idol immersion programme. As they reached near Nejar the driver of the tempo lost control over the vehicle and overturned. Seriously injured Sumanth died on the spot.
A case registered in the Malpe Police Station.
