226 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on September 3
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 226 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on September 3 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 12143.
Among the 226 new cases, 137 are from Udupi, 59 from Kundapur, 25 from Karkala, and 5 from outside the district.
As of now, 266 throat swab samples are pending for results, 971 samples were sent for testing on September 3 and 1028 samples were tested negative. A total of 61868 swab samples out of the 74284 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 2115. So far, 9929 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 106 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
