23-year-old Godwin Killed as Bike Hits Police Traffic Control Box in Bendur
Mangaluru: A 23-year-old youth died after the bike in which he was riding pillion hit the police traffic control box at Bendur here at 12:15 am on August 20.
The deceased has been identified as Godwin Pais (23), who was residing in a rented room in Yeyyadi. Godwin was working as a sales supervisor in Mangaluru.
According to sources, on August 20, at around 12.15 am Gregory and Godwin were on their way to Yeyyadi from Bendurwell. As they reached Bendur, the rider lost control of the motorbike and crashed into the police traffic control box.
Godwin was thrown to the ground and sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to Father Muller hospital where he breathed his last at 4:50 am. Bike rider Gregory sustained minor injuries.
A case has been registered in Mangaluru East Traffic police station.
