23-year-old Youth Dies in Bike-Tipper Collision in Kaup
Udupi: A 23-year-old rider was killed after the bike he was riding collided into a tipper on NH 66 near Kaup Petrol Bunk on Saturday, December 29.
The deceased has been identified as Srikanth (23) a resident of Saibarkatte near Barkur. Pillion rider Sandesh has been admitted to the hospital with injuries.
According to the police, Srikanth and Sandesh were on their way to Mangaluru. When they reached near Kaup Petrol Bunk a tipper which was coming from the opposite direction collided into their bike. The rider lost control over the bike and both were thrown to the road. Both the injured were rushed to hospital but Srikanth breathed last on the way.
A case has been registered in the Kaup Police Station.
