24-year-old, Pregnant Woman Commits Suicide by Hanging
Bengaluru: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly found hanging to the fan at her brother-in-law’s house at Timber Yard Layout, Byatarayanapura here on April 21.
The deceased has been identified as Asha (24), a resident of Ramadevarahalli, Kunigal. She was two months pregnant and also was having an 11-month old baby.
According to sources, on April 20, at around 8:30 pm, Asha and her husband Mohan Kumar who is a soldier, had a fight. Asha had informed her brother about the fight and also that she was assaulted by her husband.
On April 21, her body was found hanging to the ceiling fan. Asha was rushed to the hospital but the doctors pronounced her brought dead.
Asha’s family allege that Mohan Kumar was harassing Asha for dowry. They suspect that Mohan Kumar had killed his wife and hanged her body to the fan.
A case has been registered in Byatarayanapura police station and the investigation is on.
