247 Persons Test Positive and 3 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Aug 25
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 247 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 3 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on August 25.
Out of the 247 positive cases, 85 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 72 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 11 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 78 others.
Out of the 247 cases tested positive, 171 persons are from Mangaluru, 48 from Bantwal, 6 from Puttur, 4 from Sullia, 10 from Belthangady and 8 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 218 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 10778 positive cases have been reported in the district and 319 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 2323 active cases in the district.
