247 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on September 8
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 247 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on September 8 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 13087 .
Among the 247 new cases, 115 are from Udupi, 83 from Kundapur, 45 from Karkala, and 4 from outside the district.
As of now, 311 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1424 samples were sent for testing on September 8 and 1057 samples were tested negative. A total of 66091 swab samples out of the 79489 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1844. So far, 11124 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 121 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
