25-year-old Junior Health Supervisor Attempts Suicide over ‘Harassment’ by Senior
Udupi: A Junior health supervisor in Brahmavar government Hospital allegedly tried to commit suicide because of harassment by the Administrative officer of the hospital on October 12.
The junior health supervisor has been identified as Nagaraj M E (25) a native of Shivamogga district.
According to sources Nagaraj joined as junior health supervisor 3 months ago for the Brahmavar community health centre. The administrative health officer Mahesh Aithal was allegedly harassing him and Nagaraj had complained it to the district health officer many times but no action was taken. Fed up with the harassment Nagaraj attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in his room. His other roommates came to know about it and saved him. Now Nagaraj is under treatment at the Manipal Hospital.
A case has been registered in the Brahmavar Police Station.
