2500 Swamijis and Saints to Participate in VHP’s ‘Dharma Samsath’ – Pejawar Swamiji

Udupi: More than 2500 Swamijis Saints will participate in the Dharma Samsath to be held in Udupi from November 24 to 26 said the Paryaya Pejawar Math Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji. He was speaking at a press meet held at the Pejawar Math here on August 12.

The religious meet aims at providing remedies to the issues faced by Hindus. Scores of decisions on unity and development of the Hindu religion will mark the religious meet. A decision of opening the lock of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was taken at the Dharma Samsath organised during the third Paryaya. The then prime minister had opened the locks of Ram Mandir following the decision at the Dharma Samsath. Discussions will be held on the Ram Mandir during the Dharma Samsath which is scheduled in November. It is a right environment to decide on the Ram Mandir, as the Supreme Court will be delivering the verdict on Ram Mandir in December. “We hope that the verdict will be in favour of the Ram Mandir”.

Prof M.B Purnaik said that RSS Chief Mohan Baghavath will be present on the first day of the Dharma Samsath. The second day will be supervised by Pejawar Swamiji and Dharamadikari of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Veerendra Heggade. The last day of the Dharma Samasth will be marked with a public meeting where more than 1 lakh people will participate.

The Dharamadikari of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Veerendra Heggade said that the Hindu Community should work in unity towards erasing untouchability. The Dharma Samsath will unite all Hindus. We should set aside our differences and work towards the unity of all Hindus, he added.

Treasurer of the Dharma Samsath committee and also the president of VHP Udupi district Vilas Nayak presented the budgetary allocation of expenditures. He also said that rupees 5 crore needs to be allocated for the programme.

Champath Ray national general secretary VHP, Entrepreneur Vijay Sankeshwar, Gopal Hosur, Dr Raman Gowdar, Erya Laxminarayana Alva, Dr Mohan Alva, Sharan Pumpwell, Dr Sandhya Pai and others were present.
