254 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on August 30
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 254 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 30 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 11513.
Among the 254 new cases, 145 are from Udupi, 61 from Kundapur, 40 from Karkala, and 8 from outside the district.
As of now, 240 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1029 samples were sent for testing on August 30 and 735 samples were tested negative. A total of 59367 swab samples out of the 71120 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 2620. So far, 8798patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 95 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
