258 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on September 9
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 258 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on September 9 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 13345 .
Among the 258 new cases, 162 are from Udupi, 39 from Kundapur, 41 from Karkala, and 16 from outside the district.
As of now, 368 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1315 samples were sent for testing on September 9 and 1000 samples were tested negative. A total of 67091 swab samples out of the 80804 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1884. So far, 11342 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 122 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
