26 Covid-19 cases raise Karnataka tally to 500
Bengaluru: Karnataka registered 26 new Covid-19 cases, taking the state’s tally to 500, an official said here on Saturday. “As of 5 p.m, cumulatively 500 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 18 deaths and 158 discharges,” said a health official.
In the past 24 hours, six patients got discharged, taking the number of cured people from 152 to 158. Among the places with high case-load, Vijayapura and Mandya are yet to record a discharge.
Of the 324 active cases, 317 patients, including a pregnant woman, are isolated at designated hospitals and are stable, except seven in ICU.
On Saturday, 10 cases emerging from Bengaluru Urban were contacts of the Hongasandra case, a 55-year-old man, designated as 419th positive case.
