26-year-old Youth Stabbed to Death by Friend on New Years Eve
Mangaluru: A 26-year-old youth was stabbed to death by his friend during the new year celebrations at Kuthar here on December 31 late night.
The deceased has been identified as Rudravani Santhosh (26), a native of Davangere.
According to the police, Rudravani and Pradeep were friends and they were working in a Saloon belonging to Ramesh, at Kuthar and staying in a rented house. On December 31 night to celebrate the new year, both the friends brought liquor to their room. While they were drunk there was an argument between them. In a drunken stooper, Pradeep stabbed Rudravani on the chest.
When Santhosh screamed with pain, the owner of the saloon along with others rushed to the room where they found Rudravani stabbed by Pradeep. Immediately they rushed Rudravani to the hospital but he succumbed to injuries on the way.
Later Pradeep surrendered to the Ullal police.
