27-year-old Missing Woman found Murdered in Bajpe
Mangaluru: A 27-year-old woman who had gone missing since July 1 was found murdered in the Bajpe police station limits here on July 2 late night.
The deceased has been identified as Shantha (27) from Hassan, residing in Kavoor.
According to the police, on July 1, Shantha and her husband Ganesh (37) had gone missing from Kavoor. In this connection, Shantha’s mother had filed a missing person’s complaint in the Kavoor police station.
Based on the complaint, the Kavoor police started their search operation. It is learnt that Shantha’s mother received a call from Ganesh informing her that he had killed Shantha and had dumped her body at a stone quarry in Karambaru.
The Kavoor police reached the stone quarry in Karambaru and recovered Shantha’s body. The police shifted the body to the hospital for post mortem.
It is learnt that family dispute led to the murder of Shantha. The accused Ganesh is now absconding. A case has been registered in the Kavoor police station, and investigation is on.
