28-year-old man stabbed to death by father and brother
Beltangady: A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death by his father and brother at Matla Kasaba here, on February 11.
The deceased has been identified as Naveen (28), a native of Hassan who was residing in Malta Kasaba, Beltangady.
On the night of December 31, during New year celebrations, there was a misunderstanding between Naveen and his father Manjunath leading to a fight in which Naveen assaulted Manjunath. On February 11, at around 9:00 pm, during dinner time, Manjunath along with his another son Raghavendra began a fight with Naveen and stabbed him with a knife. Naveen died with severe injuries.
Manjunath and Raghavendra are astrologers by profession and Naveen worked in a farm.
Naveen’s wife Baby has filed a case in this connection. The Beltangady police have registered the case under sections 302 and 34 of the IPC. After committing the crime, both Manjunath and Raghavendra are absconding.
