28-year-old Youth killed in hit and run accident
Kundapur: A 28-year-old youth was killed and the pillion rider was injured in a hit-and-run accident at Moodubage near Amparu here on July 7.
The deceased has been identified as Shivakumar (28), a resident of Hallihole of Kundapur Taluk. The injured has been identified as Ravi from Kokkada Thirthahalli.
According to the Police, both Shivakumar and Ravi were on their way to Hallihole from Kundapur after purchasing medicines. A Tipper coming from opposite direction hit their Pulsar bike killing Shivakumar on the spot. Seriously injured Ravi was rushed to the Manipal Hospital.
After the incident, the Tipper driver fled from the spot. Local Police arrived at the spot and have registered a case.
