29-year-old Pregnant Woman from Bhatkal Discharged from Udupi COVID Hospital

Udupi: A 26-year-old pregnant woman from Bhatkal who was infected with COVID-19 and treated at a TMA PAI COVID hospital was discharged after full recovery on Friday, April 24 .

In a touching moment, deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh, SP N Vishnuvardhan, ZP CEO Preethi Gehlot and health officials gave a heartfelt farewell to the pregnant women with Jasmine flowers, fruits and sweets.

Speaking on the occasion, the pregnant woman said, “Despite testing positive for COVID-19, doctors and nurses treated me with love. They risked their lives to save me. My eyes are filled with tears and respect for the treatment shown to me. I cannot forget those who saved my life. The staff at the hospital has provided us with all the needed facilities. I felt like home in the hospital. By Gods grace I will come for delivery to this hospital only”, she said.

Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh said, “Today we feel proud of our Udupi district. We are happy because we saved a pregnant woman. On the request of the Chief Minister and Principal secretary, we agreed to treat the woman in the COVID hospital. She has fully recovered. Thanks to all the medical staff who worked hard for her good health”.
