3 Accused in Sandeep Shetty murder case get rigorous life imprisonment
Mangaluru: Three accused in Sandeep Shetty murder case get rigorous life imprisonment from the third additional district and sessions court here on April 23.
Sandeep Shetty (27) was killed on November 13, 2011, by a gang of six at Someshwar. Sandeep was the aide of underworld don Bannanje Raja.
A this connection a case was registered in the Ullal police station and the police had taken 11 persons into custody out of whom Preetesh alias Preetu, Keshava alias Chony and Avinash Bajalakere have been convicted. They have been sentenced rigorous imprisonment under section 302 IPC and Rs 10,000 penalty. The collected penalty will be paid to the victims family.
The other accused Bhushan, Sandesh, Nishanth, Suraj, Rajesh, Chetan, Chandrahasa and Guruprasad have been acquitted in this case. Public prosecutor Advocate Narayan Shettigar contested the case.
