310 Persons Test Positive and 6 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 9
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 310 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 6 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 9.
Out of the 310 cases tested positive, 188 persons are from Mangaluru, 27 from Bantwal, 25 from Puttur, 25 from Sullia, 26 from Belthangady and 19 from other districts.
Out of the 310 positive cases, 82 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 176 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 6 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 46 others.
Meanwhile, 256 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 15452 positive cases have been reported in the district and 418 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 3102 active cases in the district.
