316 Persons Test Positive and 3 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 3
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 316 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 3 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 3.
Out of the 316 positive cases, 54 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 129 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 13 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 120 others.
Out of the 316 cases tested positive, 190 persons are from Mangaluru, 40 from Bantwal, 21 from Puttur, 16 from Sullia, 16 from Belthangady and 33 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 208 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 13795 positive cases have been reported in the district and 384 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 2705 active cases in the district.
