334 Persons Test Positive and 6 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Aug 30
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 334 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 6 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on August 30.
Out of the 334 positive cases, 68 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 138 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 16 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 112 others.
Out of the 272 cases tested positive, 191 persons are from Mangaluru, 78 from Bantwal, 20 from Puttur, 6 from Sullia, 20 from Belthangady and 19 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 213 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 12443 positive cases have been reported in the district and 356 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 2665 active cases in the district.
