348 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on August 22
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 348 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 22 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 10009.
Among the 348 new cases, 165 are from Udupi, 132 from Kundapur, 46 from Karkala, and 5 from outside the district.
As of now, 852 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1158 samples were sent for testing on August 22 and 975 samples were tested negative. A total of 53057 swab samples out of the 63925 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 2842. So far, 7092 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 82 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
