36 Couples enter into Wedlock at Mass Marriage in Mandarthi

36 Couples enter into Wedlock at Mass Marriage in Mandarthi

Udupi: 36 couples entered into wedlock during the 16th free mass marriage ceremony organised by Mandarthi Sri Dugaparameshwari temple near Brahmavar here on May 3.

The marriage ceremony commenced with handing over the Mangalasoothra, Saris and blouse pieces to the brides and Sherwani to the grooms. The couples sought the blessings of Durgaparameshwari and entered the wedding hall along with the guests.

Temple managing trustee H Dhananjay Shetty, Executive officer S C Kotaragasthi, and others present.

The 36 couples who entered into wedlock included people from different parts of the district, 23 couples from Udupi district, 8 from Shivamogga, 4 from Chikkamagaluru, and one from Ramanagara district.
