36-year-old Police Constable Lokesh Acharya from Bantwal Commits Suicide
Channarayapattana: A 36-year-old police constable from Mankade, Bantwal committed suicide by consuming poison before hanging himself at a lodge in Channarayapattana here on August 12.
The deceased has been identified as Lokesh Acharya (36) from Mankade, Bantwal.
According to initial reports, Lokesh rented a room in Nandagokul lodge in Channarayapattana. On August 12, Lokesh mixed poison with liquor and consumed it before hanging himself.
Lokesh was working as the car driver of Lokayukta Inspector in Mangaluru. The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
