37-year-old Goldsmith Commits suicide by Hanging
Puttur: A 37-year-old goldsmith committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan at his residence at Nandila Haradi here on July 5.
The deceased has been identified as Raghav Acharya (37), a resident of Nandila, Haradi.
According to sources, on July 5, Raghav’s wife had gone for a wedding function and the children had gone to school leaving Raghav alone at home. When Raghav’s wife returned home, from the wedding she was shocked to see her husband hanging to the ceiling fan.
Raghav was suffering from some illness which might have led him to take this extreme step. Raghav was a goldsmith by profession.
A case has been registered in the Puttur Town Police station and investigation is on.
