374 Persons Test Positive and 3 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 8
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 374 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 3 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 8.
Out of the 152 positive cases, 236 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 18 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 120 others.
Out of the 374 cases tested positive, 219 persons are from Mangaluru, 61 from Bantwal, 36 from Puttur, 6 from Sullia, 32 from Belthangady and 20 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 232 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 15452 positive cases have been reported in the district and 412 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 3054 active cases in the district.
