38-year-old Businessman Murder Case in Mulki, Four Arrested
Mangaluru: In the 38-year-old businessman Abdul Lathif murder case, four persons have been arrested by the Anti-rowdy squad of Mangaluru North Sub-division and Mulki Police here on June 6.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Hasim (27) from Bappanadu, Nissar alias Riyaz (33) from Karnad, Abubaker Siddique (27), from Uchila, and Mohammed Razim (24) from Bappanadu.
On June 5, at around 3:45 pm, Muneer along with his son Hijaz, son-in-law Abdul Lathif and a relative Imran had gone to the Vijaya Bank in Mulki. After finishing their work in the bank, and were returning home, Hakim, Wafa, Asim, Siddiq, Nissar, Bava, Faran, Razim and Siddiq waylaid their car and assaulted them with Soda bottles and stabbed them with a knife. In the assault Muneer, Hijaz and Abdul Lathif were severely injured.
All the injured were rushed to the A J Hospital but Abdul Lathif breathed his last on the way. In this connection, a case was filed in the Mulki police station, and the investigation was on.
Based on the complaint, the police arrested Mohammed Hasim, Nissar alias Riyaz, Abubaker Siddique, and Mohammed Razim. The police have also seized the vehicle and the weapons used for the crime. The search is on for the other accused.
