4 Days-40 Events- 8 Workshops-Rs 10 Lakh Worth of Prizes- ‘Adrenaline 2020 ‘ Fest Kicks Off with Blast of Fun and activities at Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru from 19 February till 22 February 2020

Mangaluru: The BIGGEST and LOUDEST Fest in the history of Fr Muller Medical College-Mangaluru named “ADRENALINE 2020”-a annual inter collegiate fest that brings together all the colleges in and around the state and out-of-state to an arena of healthy, intense competition kicked off with blast of fun and activities on Wednesday 19 February 2020. The main aim of this Fest is to help students discover their hidden talents and enhance their skills. It also gives an opportunity to every single student to learn something, to create something and to be a part of something that unites all the students irrespective of their batches or their courses. All in all, ‘Adrenaline’ contributed to the renowned, truly wholesome Mullerian college experience. And ‘Adrenaline 2020’ marked the FIFTH run of the much awaited event!

As the organizers/students had promised to make “Adrenaline 2020”, more splendor and grandeur, they kept their word, because the First Day of the Fest was simply a blast, and there will be no doubts that the remaining three days will also be full of fun and frolic- and much more when the cultural, arts and sports splendor by the participants from over 50 colleges spread across the state, and also from Kerala, Goa and other states, will be unleashed on stage/ground! Cultural events with a divine display of dance and music, Literary events- the pen sure is mightier than the sword, Fine arts, Adrenaline fueled sports events, photography, name it and Adrenaline has it all!

19 February 2018-Day one! What a day it has been! It literally kicked off with the nail biting football match at the stadium. At the same time the much awaited quiz commenced, where the best of brains battled. The Western singing event also took place, which left the audience spell bound after each performance. The day also witnessed other events such as creative writing, face painting, instruments and comic strip.

The inaugural was an event of great splendor, made more lively by the the versatile Goan Ms. Cecille Rodrigues- the 2013 Runner-Up in Zee Tv’s Dance India Dance Show- a well known figure in the Goan public, and the mother of one is a nationally recognized dancer; a certified Zumba instructor as well, she is a household name in Goa’s dance circuit. The inaugural programme began with invoking God’s blessing through a prayer song, followed by briefing of Adrenaline 2020 by Abhishek D Kuriakose- FMMC Student Council President 2019-20.

The welcome address was delivered by handsome and debonair Dr Lenon D’souza- Staff Coordinator of the event. The inauguration of Adrenaline 2020 was done by chief guest Cecille Rodrigues, along with other dignitaries on the dais, namely-Fr Richard Coelho-Director, FMCI; Fr Rudolph Ravi D’sa and Fr Ajith Menezes- Administrators at FMCI; Fr Nelson Pais- Asst administrator; Dr Padmaja Udayakumar- Vice Dean, FMMC; Dr Jayaprakash Alva- Dean, FMMC; Ms Keziah Pinto- President Student Council of FMMC Allied Health sciences; Ms Mayuri G Bhat- Medical College Council Cultural secretary; Ms Asifa – Allied Health sciences Cultural secretary; and Dr Mahesh -Staff Coordinator.

Inn her inaugural address Ms Cecille Rodrigues said, “Wow, you are all a awesome crowd, all ready to perform live which will really get your Adrenaline going! My advice to you all youth, follow your passion, and make your dreams come true. There could be hassles and problems in your path to glory, but try to overcome them, and success will be yours. My parents wanted me to be a doctor, but I turned out to ba dancer, which I don’t regret, since I enjoy what I am doing, and it has reached me to greater heights. Grab all the opportunities that come your way, because you have only one life to live- and in the same time do some community service and make a difference in the society. As doctors that you will be, you are next tom God, trying to save people’s lives. Also involve yourselves in keeping your surroundings clean-I am happy to FMCI campus has a number of dustbins, keeping Swachh in mind. Community service is every one’s rights-so don’t hesitate, you are in a democratic country, and you have all the freedom to bring a change in our present India and in the World. Love you all”

Fr Richard Coelho began his presidential address in a witty note where he said “Toady’s chief guest is CR and I am RC- guess what it is? Chief guest is Cecilee Rodrigues (CR) and I am Richard Rodrigues (RC) ( loud laughs) . “You all youngsters should follow in the footsteps of today’s chief guest, who has taking up the gauntlet in keeping the surrounding clean and green. She has also taken up the challenge of painting road humps with white strips, so that motorists won’t involve in accidents. At FMCI we provide all the facilities and opportunities to keep our students happy, and make them feel homely. Adrenaline is an opportunity to unleash your talents, so make the best use of it and achieve big”.

After the formal inauguration, Cecille gave some sizzling dance performances, where she even made the priests and nuns in the audience to shake their hands and hips along with her. Who said Priests and Nuns can’t dance and join in the fun? Cecille got the whole crowd grooving for her four numbers she danced for, namely- “All Night Long” by Lionel Richie; “Yo Yo” ; “Senorita” by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello; and “Maria Pitache” by Goan Singer Remo. She simply rocked the stage!

Muller: Day 1 ( 19 February) started off with football and basketball at 7.30 in the morning . The winners of Eastern singing that took place from 10 am to 5 pm , sponsored by Soorya Life Care were : A)Male solo- 1st prize : K S Hegde Medical College; 2nd prize : Manipal Dental college; and 3rd prize: Father Muller Medical college . B) Female solo – 1st prize : Manipal Dental College; 2nd prize : Father Muller Medical College; and 3rd prize: Srinivas Pharmacy College.. C) Duet- 1st prize : Manipal Dental college; 2nd prize : Father Muller homeopathy; and 3rd prize: St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru. D) Group song- 1st prize : Father Muller Allied health sciences; 2nd prize : father muller medical college and father muller homeopathy

The winners of the Comic strip competition sponsored by Sooraj Active Fire are : 1st prize – Gloria thomas & Deva sudhakar , father muller homeopathy
2nd prize – Mukthesh & Aaron-St Aloysius College; 3rd prize – Shubham & Sunayana ,father muller homeopathy. The winners of Art Relay sponsored by Suraj Active Fire are :1st prize : Father Muller medical college; 2nd prize: KMC mangalore and 3rd Prize St Aloysuis College. The winners of POT Pourri sponsored by Suraj Active Fire are : 1st prize : Yenapoya medical college ; 2nd prize : AJ Dental College, and 3rd prize: Father muller medical college

The winners of Non Thematic Dance sponsored by Father Muller Alumni Association are: 1st prize : NITTE engineering; 2nd prize : Sahayadri College of Engineering; and 3rd prize :FMMC homeopathy. The winners for beat boxing sponsored by Majella Pharma & Pharma promoters are : 1st prize : Vernan Serrao and 2nd prize: Ebnezar

Following the inauguration, the non thematic dance events saw a house full crowd cheering and dancing along! There were a few workshops on the first day. Even the foodaholics out there, did not miss the opportunity to show their might with every bite at the eating competition. And with some exciting workshops, and bunch of other activities-the Day one, was a wrap! The inaugural day programme was compered by Miss Danica D’silva and Miss Tanya Mohanraj, both MBBS students of FMMC. The vote of thanks was proposed by Miss Keziah Pinto. And Day two awaits with much more excitement with fun and frolic, and lots of food and music.

Day 2: 20th February the events lined up for the day are- Football, Basketball, Kabaddi, Table Tennis tournaments; Creative Writing, Sudoku, Mad Ads, Pencil Sketching, Movie Screening, Battle of Bands, Knock Out Dancing, and Filler

Day 3: 21st Feb, 2020- Football, Basketball, Badminton , Chess, Mime, Face Painting, Debate, Eating Competition, Quiz, Mock Press, Street Play, Duet Dancing, Mad Orange Fireworks

Day 4: 22nd Feb, 2020- Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Water Relay, Knot A Waste, Cooking Without Fir, Western Singing, Thematic Dancing- and closing ceremony will feature Bengaluru’s top DJ Martin, who knows how to make the crowd dance to his tunes and have the time of their lives by grooving on a rhythmic vibe. He is a professional in Bengaluru area and has enough experience working at many events across the country

Workshops for Adrenaline 2020 are on- Photography, Baking, Photoshop, Make up, Martial Arts, Bottle Art, Jewellery making, Art. And DO.NOT.MISS the pro shows, dance to the beat and lose yourself at the Flow Artists Swaroop Shetty and Nishitha K.A, on 20 Feb; On 21 Feb Band Mad Orange Fireworks; and 22 Feb it is DJ Martin D’Souza live. The ‘Mullerians’ of FMMC welcome you to the next three days of talent, possibilities and pure fun! Get set to live limitless, join them in the fun at Adrenaline 2020! Because at Adrenaline, splendor and grandeur is promised, and the organizers/students of FMMC are all geared up for this BIG EVENT, with three more days left.
