40-year-old Rajesh from Mangaluru drowns in Kaje Waterfalls
Karkala: A tourist who had come for Picnic from Mangaluru drowned at the Kaje Waterfalls near Karkala on Saturday, January 26.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh (40) a resident of Mannagudde in Mangaluru.
According to the police, Rajesh along with his 11 friends from Mangaluru had come to Kaje waterfalls. When they were having fun in the waterfalls suddenly Rajesh slipped and fell into the water and drowned. When Rajesh screamed for help others tried their best to rescue him but failed. The Karkala Rural Police along with Fire tenders arrived at the spot and retrieved the body from the water.
A Case has been registered in the Karkala Rural Police Station.
