413 Persons Test Positive and 5 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 14
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 413 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 5 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 14.
Out of the 413 positive cases, 135 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 185 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 17 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 76 others.
Out of the 413 cases tested positive, 169 persons are from Mangaluru, 65 from Bantwal, 66 from Puttur, 43 from Sullia, 47 from Belthangady, and 23 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 297 persons were also discharged from the hospital, and COVID Care Centre after complete recovery.
So far 17776 positive cases have been reported in the district and 447 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 4045 active cases in the district.
